Chuck Young

A lifelong student of the American Civil War, Chuck has an extensive background in interpreting the war to the public.  He began participating in living history events at age 15 and attended James Madison University, largely due to its location in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, and that valley’s steep Civil War history.  Graduating in 1992 with a degree in history, with emphasis on Early American and Military History, he has been employed by Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier in Petersburg, VA; Ford’s Theater National Historic Site in Washington, DC; Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park in Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville, VA; and currently serves as the Guest Services Manager at the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, VA.
