Jacque will talk about the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, as well as the ghost of Huntsville’s Captain John J. Ward, who was killed at the Battle of Atlanta. Whether you are a Civil War enthusiast, a history lover, or simply intrigued by the supernatural, this program offers a memorable journey into the past. Jacque Procter Reeves has long been a contributor to the historic research of Madison and Limestone County. She has authored several books about local history: Hidden History of North Alabama, Wicked North Alabama, and Murder in the Heart of Dixie, among others. She has been a tour guide at the Historic Huntsville Depot, Maple Hill Cemetery, and historic homes of downtown Huntsville. As a tour guide though, Jacque is best known for her haunted tours of downtown with the very popular Huntsville Ghost Walk. She and her husband, Robert Reeves, are members of the Tennessee Valley Civil War Roundtable. Jacque will be giving a program on Civil War ghosts – a timely program for October!
